Each student will be encouraged to think about how paint is used to convey personal creative expressions by exploring a series of painting problems requiring imagination and invention. Students will work on drawings and small painting studies before advancing to a larger painted surface (not be working from still life\, photography or the visible landscape). Paints for this class can be oil\, acrylic or watercolor.\n\n\n\nDavid A. deVillier is a professional painter and sculptor. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree and received his Master of Fine Arts Degree from Yale University.
